This cartoon shows how difficult it was for workmen when their businesses were monopolized by other people, such as John D. Rockafeller and Cornelius Vanderbilt. People thought that they did not give other businesses a fair chance at having a thriving business, but they said that they gave everyone a fair chance. They just pursuaded the people to use their products more effectively than other companies, therefore, they had more income and eventually became the main businesses.
